ZECHARIAH’S SONG - BENEDICTUS
Day 1 - Morning
“Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts.
From Malachi 3
Does God’s promise cause delight in you? What in your life will be different when he appears? Don’t wait for his appearance to prepare his way.

Guide is into all truth,
Speak so we can hear;

The Song of Zechariah with Response
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
For he has visited and redeemed his people;
And has raised up a horn of salvation for us
In the house of his servant David
You have said the peacemakers are your children.
You have taught us pray,
To know forgiveness is to give it.
As you spoke by the mouth of your holy prophets
Who have been from of old,
To show mercy towards our fathers,
To remember your holy covenant,
The oath which you swore to Abraham, our father,
To grant to us that we,
being delivered out of the hand of our enemies,
should serve you without fear,
In holiness and righteousness before you all the days of our life.
Because of the tender mercy of our God,
Whereby the dawn from on high will visit us,
To shine on those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death;
To guide our feet into the way of peace.
You are tender and merciful
You are Immanuel,
A warm light, a new day for us,
under death’s shadow.
From Luke 1
Pause & Reflect
Our Father in heaven,
may your name be kept holy.
Let your Kingdom come.
Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.
From Matthew 6 - The Lord’s Prayer
Come Lord Jesus.
From Revelation 22
