PREPARATIONLord, open my lips.My mouth shall declare your praise. From Psalm 51
NUNC DIMITIS WITH RESPONSENow let your servant depart, LordAccording to your word,In peace
ResponseWith peace and wholenessWe have waitedAnd we will waitWe remember your promise and your faithfulness
For my eyes have seen your salvation,Which you preparedBefore the face of all peoples;A light for revelation to the Gentiles,And the glory of your people Israel.
PSALM 51Have mercy on me, O God, According to your lovingkindness.According to the multitude of your tender mercies Blot out my transgressions.Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,And cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my transgressions; And my sin is ever before me.Against you, only you, have I sinned,And done what is evil in your sight. That you are justified when you speak,And be blameless in your judgment.Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,And in sin did my mother conceive me.Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts; And in the hidden part you make known wisdom to me.
Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean,Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.Make me to hear joy and gladness,That the bones which you have broken may rejoice.Hide your face from my sins,And blot out all my iniquities.Create in me a clean heart, O God,And renew a right spirit within me.Cast me not away from your presence,And do not take your holy Spirit from me.Restore to me the joy of your salvation,And uphold me with a willing spirit.
Then I will teach transgressors your ways,And sinners will return to you.Deliver me from bloodguilt, O God,You, God of my salvation,And my tongue shall singAloud of your righteousness.O Lord, open you my lips; And my mouth shall declare your praise. For you do not delight in sacrifice, Or else would I give it.You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit.A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
Do good in your good pleasure to Zion;Build the walls of Jerusalem,Then you will delight In the sacrifices of righteousness,In burnt-offering and in whole burnt-offering.Then bulls will be offered on your altar.
SHEMA & THE JESUS CREEDHear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your might. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.
